Welcome to the Millennium Development Goals Awards Committee!

The MDG Awards Committee is a not for profit organization whose mission is to recognize efforts to achieve the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and serve as a catalyst in disseminating information to the wider public about the importance of the MDGs and the efforts being made to achieve them.

Through our efforts we:

• Shine a spotlight on those that are making exceptional progress and help generate public support for their projects.
• Rally and provide support for those who need assistance
• Highlight exemplars in the civil society community to promote the message that corporations and other organizations can "do well" by "doing good".
• Recognize the efforts of governments and the members of the NGO community that are making exceptional efforts to honor their commitment to help achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
• Through recognition and fund development help support those smaller and individual efforts that are making an impact but do not have the reach to increase their success.

We accomplish our mission through a series of programs our MDG Awards Ceremony at the United Nations General Assembly Hall, the Waldorf Astoria and other venues honoring exceptional efforts to achieve the MDGs, and Public-Private Partnerships. The 61^st - 64^th Presidents of the General Assembly have supported the work of the MDG Awards Committee. We are funded by Program Underwriters, Donations, shared revenue from our Public-Private Partnerships and royalties from Partnership Events.
