MDG Awards Committee events support and raise awareness of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The highlight annual New York-based ceremony provides a high profile platform to honour and celebrate exemplary efforts by national governments and civil society stakeholders in contributing toward the achievement of the MDG goals. Local and partnership events provide an opportunity for recognition of community projects and leadership.
We proudly acknowledge the ongoing support of the Jack Brewer Foundation, the US Federation for Middle East Peace, and South South News.
We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year's Summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time

On March 30th, Jack Brewer, Chairman of the MDG Awards Committee's Athletes and Entertainers Committee presented MDG Special Recognition Awards to Malawi, Sri Lanka, Mexico and Liberia. The Awards were received by their Ambassadors at a Press Conference at the United Nations. Also present were many of the NFL Players that serve jointly on the Athletes and Entertainers Committee and as Ambassadors of the Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF).
