Hal Uplinger

Broadcast Production

Hal Uplinger is both a Humanitarian and Producer. He was the Producer of the LIVE AID Concert (Philadelphia) considered the most technically complex broadcast in the history of the media. He was responsible for the television production, international TV negotiations and distribution, as well as satellite transmission. His other credits include Sport Aid, Our Common Future, Earth ’90, Viva Terra Viva, the Millennium telecast and most recently, The Great China Wall Concert.

His principal Humanitarian efforts are through Humanitad. Humanitad is an international non-governmental, non-profit, self-funding organization committed to the promotion of interfaith and intercultural tolerance and fellowship between all nations and faiths. Humanitad accomplishes this through global arts and cultural exposition, education and the facilitation of coherent and progressive exchange amongst international leadership.

With his busy schedule, bringing both his Humanitarian and Global Production skills to the MDG Awards Committee is an example of his desire to help build a better world.
